A lovely high density cream faux fur was used for this piece. It was such a pleasure to work with too. It had plenty depth to texturize the shaggy coat, and enough density to scissor sculpt the nose and ears. My only regret is that I didn't buy more when I had the chance.

His merle coat was one of the most challenging dye jobs I've done to date. I studied tons of photos of blue merle border collies on the web. It's not just about adding random dyes, but also about removing them in selected areas too.

The collar was made from red patent leather and studded with little gold spikes. The teeth were made from a polystyrene strip that was heat bent and filed to shape the points.

Finally the little rabbit toy was made out of white fleece with hand embroidered facial details. The button eye is mounted on brass wire so it would stand off the face as if just sprung.

Sculpture dimensions: 13.5" x 9.5"
Materials: High density faux fur, Ultrasuede, polystyrene, silk ribbons, brass & aluminum wire, patent leather, and the peerless scary-sharp scissors.
Display Method: Free standing
